About

“Working intuitively and responding to a pallet of familiar materials that include wood, fabric, glass and other found resources, I attempt to create pieces that deal with my personal struggles with relationships, space and time.  With each piece I aim to express a unified representation of my imaginative abstraction of our world. Playing with scale and I breathe new life into the recognized mediums I use.   Each piece is a glimpse into my inner dialogue and person struggle to find my place in a constantly changing and hectic world.”

I began working with glass in 2004 starting first with bead making and then moving on to learn different hot, cold and kiln techniques at the Massachusetts College of Art. After graduating from MassArt in 2008 I went on to study at The Glass Furnace in Istanbul Turkey, and at The Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA. In September of 2008 I was awarded a ten month residency at the Worcester Center for Crafts’ New Street Glass Works, in Worcester Massachusetts. During my residency at the New Street Glass Works I maintained a studio and also taught glass blowing and cold working classes. I also worked as a studio assistant for Rufus Butler Seder from 2005 to 2009, where I assisted in the production of Seder's animated glass "LifeTile" murals. In 2009 I relocated to Seattle after the completion of my residency at the New Street Glass Studio.  I have since established a studio in Pioneer Square and have continued to pursue my artistic endeavors.  My work is currently showing at the at the Ryan James Gallery in Bellevue, Washington.
